Jazz - Hardbop / Swing
This playlist is a collection of great jazz tunes which has been collected carefully over the past 10 years. The majority of the tunes are from the hard bop period ('55-'65) who's musicians are heavily represented. Though, many other styles are included like swing, bop, vocal, west coast or cool jazz where the recording period mostly ranges from the 1930's to 1965's. Each tune has a good reason for being in this playlist, be it for a single magnificant solo, a great swing or the overall performance. The majority is mid-tempo and 'easy listening', while avoiding tunes that may get too 'annoying' after a while. Many of them can be listened to dozens of times without getting bored! Currently around 300 tunes are available but new ones found matching this playlist's critera will be continuously added, (at the most five per week).
